Visitation will be Wednesday 4pm at Family Memorial Funeral Home in Canton. Funeral service will be 11am Thursday, May 23, 2013 at the Mount Zion Cobbsville M.B. Church on Tithelo Road in Canton with burial in the Goodloe Cemetery.

Mrs. Nettie Luckett died on May 10, 2013. Mrs. Luckett was a lifelong resident of Canton, MS.

Visitation services will be held Friday, May 17, 2013, 3:00 P.M. until 7:00 P.M. at Peoples Undertaking in Canton. Funeral services will be held Saturday, May 18, 2013 at 1:00 P.M. at New Truelight M.B. Church on John Day Road. Mrs. Luckett will lie in repose from 12:00 P.M. until services begin.

Burial services will be held at New Truelight Cemetery.

Mr. Vernon Elder of Chicago, Illinois died on May 11, 2013. Mr. Elder was a lifelong resident of Madison County.

Mr. Jimmie “Big Jim” Williams, 65, died at King’s Daughters Hospital, Yazoo City on May 12, 2013. Mr. Williams was a lifelong resident of Madison County. 25 year retired Canton Fire Fighter, Captain Oliver Gordon, Sr., 72, of Highway 16 West in Canton passed away Monday, May 13, 2013 at the Saint Dominic Hospital in Jackson. Our thoughts and prayers are with his wife Dorothy, his children and the Canton Fire Department.

Mr. John A Heidelberg, 80, of South Hickory Street in Canton passed away Thursday, May 09, 2013 at the Madison River Oaks Medical Center in Canton. He was an Army Veteran. Mr. Van Z. Johnson, Sr., 79, of Brenda Lane in Madison passed away Thursday, May 09, 2013 at his home. He was a Mason and an Air Force Veteran. Visitation will be Thursday 10 A.M. at Family Memorial Funeral Home in Canton. Funeral service will be 11 A.M. Friday, May 17, 2013 at the Saint James M.B. Church 814 Old Yazoo City Road in Canton with burial in the Saint James Cemetery. Mr. Johnson will repose in the church from 10 AM until service time.

Mrs. Susie Mae Lacy, 65, of 2nd Street in Pickens passed away Monday, May 6, 2013 at the Select Specialty Hospital in Jackson. Visitation will be Friday 2pm at Family Memorial Funeral Home in Canton. Funeral service will be 1pm Saturday, May 11, 2013 atthe Goodman Pickens Elementary School Gym on Highway 51north in Pickens with burial in the Salem Cemetery in Pickens.
