You people are so stupid, ignorant, and judgmental on this blog. Stop lying on people. Doc never said ONE RACIST WORD ABOUT ANYBODY. HE WAS TALKING HIS LIFE AND HIS OWN PERSONAL JOURNEYS. The mayor 3 cars are registered at the Canton Madison County Tax Collectors. You can verify this by getting one if the car tags and have it ran. However I work there so I know first hand. So rest assure Truly is paying tax to the city of Canton.

Do we know if the tags are Madison County or the counties in the Delta he runs to? May be paying personal property tax for the cars, but where to. Inquiring minds want to know.

I beg the differ, yes Truly stays in an apartment however he has three vehicles that's in his name. So those vehicles have to have car tags that are also registered in his name meaning he is paying taxes to the city. My daughter recieved one of Arnel Bolden scholarship. Don't let the word scholarship fool you. Her scholarship was $100 yet I was grateful for that. But don't make it seem as if he is passing out hundreds and thousands of dollars in scholarships because that is not true. Arnel is not a pillar of canton. He merely works for State Farm in which the can send you wherever they want you to work and twelve years ago they sent Arnel here to work for State Farm. My question is what has truly done that was so horrific. That alone has caused me to support him to the fullest. Canton has more now than they have had in over twenty years. You stated that truly has attacked Arnel character well I was at Saab Park listening to Arnel bash and belittle Truly. So lets not point fingers and attack when we don't have all the facts. I myself have seen alot of growth in this city. I am aware now that Canton now has a good credit line as compared to four years ago when Canton was in huge amounts of debt. I suggest everyone research before we make the wrong accusations. TRULY FOR MAYOR!!

Ok I've read the posts and listened to the commercials now here's MY OPINION! So Dr. William Truly Jr. is attacking Arnel Bolden saying that he's a yes man, a new resident to Canton etc! All sources say that Truly stays in a apartment where he pays NO city taxes!!! Now here is what I think Arnel has been a pillar of the city of Canton for the past 12yrs from given scholarships to ppl graduating from CANTON, giving away turkeys to needed families in CANTON, sat on so many boards throughout the city of CANTON I dare not name them all for fear of forgetting one! To me he's been more active throughout the city of CANTON than I've ever heard Truly has been before or during his duration of Mayor! Since its been election time Truly sent out flyers stating what he has done for the city but why wait til now! I hear Truly is bringing a YMCA to Canton ???? that's nice but why mention it now are you vying for votes or is this set in stone that it'll happen if you win or lose?! To be honest YMCA doesn't excite me if I was interested in working out the old county hospital has had a gym and pool that could've been used for years or if I wanted to play ball I have the court by the Community Center and the one in Red Bud that's been apart of the city for years! HOW ABOUT UPDATING THAT 1st!!! If you really wanna impress me show me the proof that the "Y" is coming before Tuesdays ejection I mean ELECTION! If you really wanna impress me let's turn some of these old buildings throughout the Historic Canton square into something! Now that'll impress me as far as you saying he's a new resident in CANTON all of his time and efforts has been in CANTON forever so I'll accept that over and old resident of CANTON any day!!! Arnel is a stand up guy he's had several chances to attack other candidates but he hasn't! Wake up ppl! Canton should be more important to our City Mayor than only when your job is on the line!
