Asphalt on Streets ($396 G)
I have holes on my street in front of my driveway, and the bandaid asphalt that is being laid is the cheapest brand that can be purchased. Is it going to work, or is the holes going to be right back in two weeks?

Truly, Truly, Truly, who is this man?
Truly says in his latest commercial that "if you owe a bill, you have to pay your bill" what a laugh, he doesn't pay anything. He held the $396,000.00 that was awarded to this city for paving streets until election time before he even tried to spread any of it, and then he selected the cheapest brand of asphalt because we are already complaining about it not working. Truly is even using the Blackmon's business phones for citizens to call for a ride to the poles on the 21st. The Blackmons are trying to keep that $20,000.00 coming EACH MONTH. They will do anything to keep that money coming, and they don't ever help or donate to anything unless it benefits them. Did Truly ever give the $500.00 to the students at the High School like he promised. Did he even pay his rent at the house on Academy street?

You stated why you are sticking with Truly, you are a racist that's why. Pure and simple. Because whites supported Green, they want money only. Jesus Christ, where have you been while your racist Mayor and Chief take everyone's money for themselves. Or are yoy one who also takes that money. White/Black, Black/White, like one guy said earlier, Martin died for absolutely nothing. We should be proud of ourselves.

I am sticking with Truly, He is trying to change things and the white people tried to beat him with Green now they will try Bolden. All they want is control of the money, they could care less about Canton. The people backing Green and Bolden were the same. Truly is bringing change and they are not in it and cant stand it. Not trying to make this about race but it is what it is. I want Canton to grow and prosper and if you look around it is. They are bashing Truly who has worked here for forty years ad taking care of our families and now they are throwing him under the bus just for control. What has he done wrong for the city besides bring growth, I read someone's post that Walmart was already coming before he took office, but for the last two years they have called him a liar for saying they were coming. They cant believe progress is here and they had nothing to do with it. Truly Supporter

I'm sure people will say, who care's. It looks like Mother Mary and Madison are going to get yet another shopping center in their town. I've heard that since Wal Mart is coming, we will see things like Chile's, Applebee's, and other places like that showing up. If for a minute, you all think these types of places will show up, please stop deluding yourselves. You actually believe someone from down in Ridgeland, Madison, or Rankin County will travel over here to those places. Maybe the thugs from Jackson, like they do to come to our BS Clubs and cause trouble, but not real folks to spend money we need. Doc will continue to pull us down. And before someone throws out bones, stores changing location doesn't mean growth(Dollar General and Family Dollar). Wal Mart was a long time before he dug a hole with a gold painted shovel. The Tractor Store wasn't his either. Annexing the areas they want will not bring extra cash they are counting on, as much of it is HUD type housing anyway.

The Wig stricks again
Bringing it back to corrupt Canton officials, Chief Vickie McNeil gets to explain to a Federal Magistrate on Tuesday why she lied in discovery in a civil rights lawsuit. McNeil has managed to skate on the "I'm a discriminated women" claim so far. Probably no longer. If the Doc gets back in, he really should look at letting her go to pasture for good, but then again, with the new faces we will see, this may come to pass. Then the department can begin to grow in morale and ability.
